The Beatles > The Beatles > John Lennon

Yoko has indicated that "Acoustic" might be the last disc from the Lennon vaults other than the reissues. Only "Walls and Bridges" and "Sometime in New York City" are left. It makes me wonder what else could be released. I know there is plenty left though, and while I love the job Yoko has done with the Lennon projects (the new reissues in particular are incredible), I doubt she will just put out various collections just to please the fans. I guess that is her right, but I hope there will be a John Lennon CD or DVD every year.
Happy Holidays!

I agree with you about Yoko's latest releases as they have been charming.Really well thought out and done with dignity. If it ends after Wall's and Bridges thats fine with me. I don't think any form of remastering will help Sometime In New York ! It was trite when released and is trite and dated now. You know all good things have to come to an end. Maybe now the Lennon estate will review the Beatle's catalog wink.gif

I agree Sometime In New York was a lame topical album. It is to this day the only Lennon LP I don't have.

blink.gif Well, there's also PLASTIC ONO BAND LIVE PEACE IN TORONTO 1969 and LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY to consider for remastering. It would be great if the performance from the evening ONE TO ONE CONCERT was included as a bonus disc along with the original LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY. tongue.gif

rolleyes.gif Since John Lennon made very few live concert performances, maybe a box set including the album titles mentioned above along with performances from the JOHN SINCLAIR RALLY in Ann Arbor, Apollo Theatre, "Well (Baby Please Don't Go)" with Frank Zappa, and the surprise appearance in Madison Square Garden at the Elton John concert. cool.gif

I know, but I want Dr. Winston O' Boogie's concert/live performances on his own box set. I already have the Elton & John Thanksgiving performance on an Elton's HERE AND THERE cd.

Agreed. I would love to see Live In New York City reissued, remixed and the entire set list featured in the correct running order.

On the idea of a boxed set of live work, would be nice to see. But I would include a few Beatle live performances as well as John's solo shows. This way we have all phases of his career included.
